Governance and Management Roles

It’s helpful to delineate Governance and Management into four categories:

Governance:

1. Oversee high-level finance
2. Approve policy
3. Develop quality board/executive relations
4. Support strong community relations and engagement

Management:

1. Manage day-to-day operations
2. Develop procedures and practices
3. Maintain board/executive relations
4. Support strong community relations and engagement

When management team members and governing board members know their roles, they’re more likely to achieve their goals. When management and governing board members work in their designated areas, they increase the likelihood of organizational success.
